About
With over 15 years of experience in education and outreach, Whitney Yeager’s work with One Chance to Grow Up focuses on empowering individuals and communities through impactful educational initiatives. As the Education and Outreach Coordinator, Whitney leads efforts to raise awareness about the risks of high-potency THC in El Paso and Teller counties. She is deeply committed to public education and advocacy. She has a B.A. in English from William Smith College, and an M.Ed. in Education from Regis University. As a former public school teacher and a parent forever impacted by the loss of her son to Cannabis-induced Psychosis, she intimately understands the potential harms of high-potency marijuana both in the classroom and at home.
One Chance to Grow Up safeguards kids from today’s marijuana through community education and groundbreaking policy. We don’t take sides on the politics of legalization but instead serve as a reliable resource for parents, media, policymakers, and all who care about kids.
Started by concerned parents we’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported by charitable contributions. One Chance to Grow Up is a project of the Colorado Nonprofit Development Center. EIN: 84-1493585
